“Working with Michelle at Thomas Designs has been a wonderful experience. She has helped me with numerous projects and my guest bath remodel completed last year turned out great. From start to finish she drafted, designed, managed and completed my remodel in the agreed time frame which was very important to me because I had out of town guests coming to visit. Her sense of space and color was perfect and her attention to detail was much appreciated. Having never worked with a Interior Designer before I really didn't know what to expect but she listed to all of my likes dislikes and concerns making me feel comfortable with the process. I am working with her again to refresh and update my Family and Dining room decor and then it's on to remodeling the Kitchen. Needless to say I would highly recommend Michelle and Thomas Designs for all design, remodel and decorating needs.”

“My partner and I engaged with Michael a few months ago because we were unhappy with some of our present furniture, carpets and the overall feel of our condo. We had recently worked with a designer and had a less than stellar experience and result. We interviewed a few designers for this relatively small project and we both liked Michael right away. We explained our vision of "warming up" our condo, which had been decorated a bit more modern that we liked; we had not found it to functional or inviting. We emphasized that we wanted to remain in-budget if possible but were open to suggestions that might bring us a bit over if we felt it was worth it. I have worked with three other designers in the past, and I must say that Michael was by far the most budget conscious. We asked to be billed weekly and for regular, easy to understand accounting, and that is just what he provided. Michael was reliable, patient and professional through the entire process; bills for his time were reasonable and appropriate. Michael has a great eye for color and detail, and he came up with some really great ideas. For example, he suggested that we extend an existing surface in the guest bedroom/office to create an inexpensive work space that is both attractive and functional. He also brought in a plumber and painter who were willing to complete some really small but important jobs for us. Michael has been an absolute pleasure to work with. I will definitely contact him for any future projects I might have and I recommend him without hesitation. Oh and by the way, our home looks great - it's warm, comfortable and inviting. . . just what we wanted!”

“If I could give Sandra 1000 stars, I would!!! She is Amazing!!! We had never imagined how fabulous our home could be until Sandra brought the vision and the talent!! The incredible transformation all came together in good time and within budget. Sandra helped us to focus our time, money and energy on the things that truly made a difference in getting our home market-ready and bringing in top dollar. Everyone who saw our home loved it!! We had several offers on our home before it even came on the market. We owe it all to Sandra!! As if that weren't enough, Sandra is the sweetest, most caring person whom we could have ever asked for. She always took the time to hear our input and concerns. With all the stress that goes into selling a home, she always helped to put our minds at ease. “Ariel has such a light hand and does everything with such ease! My partner and I were overwhelmed with trying to quickly furnish our new home and starting with almost nothing. I tend to overthink every decision, so I really needed help bringing together a cohesive design and be confident in our decision making. This was also at the time that everything was out of stock, and Ariel was able to source items that were almost all entirely in stock. Ariel really listened to the exact requirements we had for our unique space and made sure that each piece would fit just right, with an emphasis on quality and longevity. More importantly, she helped us be brave when it came to bold design decisions. A dark and moody dining space is not something we would have ever thought of on our own, let alone been confident enough to execute. It ended up being the most stylish corner in our home, has such a Chicago vibe, and continues to be the source of inspiration for or other design decisions. Ariel really helped us quickly get from zero (literally only a mattress on the floor) to fully furnished in a matter of a couple of months. We are still putting together finishing touches and decorative elements, and Ariel's online design resources are really helpful for that as well.”

“We hired Hellen Hsieh, the owner of Design Loft Company, to design our 725 sq ft great room addition. We are so incredibly thrilled with the completed project, it is exactly what we had envisioned. Our existing house was a 1200 sq ft 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. The kitchen and living area was very modest. With two teenagers at home, we needed to expand and wanted more room to entertain. When we started the project we were uncertain if we should knock down walls and remodel the current floor plan and add a small addition or keep the footprint of the existing house exactly the same and add on one large great room. We decided to do the later, however, to get to this point, we went through several different renderings. Hellen provided us with many great options and helped us decide what would be the most economical and feasible plan. She was flexible, patient and was great about pointing out the pros and cons of each option. Her interactions with our architect , contractor and cabinet supplier went very smoothly which helped us to meet specific deadlines. Hellen was maticulous when it came to the kitchen cabinets and made sure everything was ordered properly and our custom stain came out exactly how we wanted. As a designer, she is very creative and knowledgeable. She understood the style and feel we were after. More importantly she was very conscious and respectful of our monetary constraints which helped us complete our entire project within budget. What impressed us most was her understanding of the build process: from the contractors needs, the city requirements, realistic costs and time estimates, appliance installation prerequisites and inspection requirements. We couldn't be more pleased with Design Loft and Hellen's professionalism.”

“AND Interior Design Studio did a spectacular job, far expecting my expectations, and did it in a very reasonable cost manner. The end result is a place that I love living in and the unit, quite frankly, makes me not want to leave. Anne's strength is that she can understand what you want and work with you to get it done. My modern bachelor-pad concept is not something that is reflected in Anne's portfolio, but she was able to understand what my vision was and execute it with her wealth of knowledge as a designer. I highly recommend Anne if you are thinking of re-doing your place - since you are going to spend a lot of time living there, it is important to choose an excellent designer to do it right.”

“How wonderful to have a decorator who does not provide cookie-cutter designs. She looked at our home, listened to who we are and what we wanted and provided us with choices. From our slate entry to our new floors to the built-ins in the family room to our granite in the kitchen and bathroom, it all ties together to provide a warm, comfortable home. We get so many compliments, I think we may have the design others want to copy.”
