From his ability to listen to the client, to his development of quality shop drawings of all the casework, to his craftsmanship in building some of the finest cabinets I have seen, I always know that Mike and his shop will be able to build cabinets that will not only look amazing, but will last for years and years. Dickinson also has an amazing showroom that is a real asset to my clients. I can send them to meet with Mike where he can review door styles, materials, finishes, colors and answer any questions they might have about what their new cabinets will look like. “Nadja was able to walk into our kitchen and dining room and immediately come up with great ideas for re-doing the entire space. She explained her process thoroughly, which was helpful for us novices, and she was always easy to talk with through out the entire process. We wanted a more "transitional" style than her usual modern style, and she was able to help us with design elements that worked for us. We loved that Nadja will share her opinions with you - we wanted her expertise, but she is flexible enough to work around any specific elements you really love. We hope to work with Nadja again on additional projects, and we highly recommend her.”

She took the time to get to know us, understand our priorities and how we would use the space. Her knowledge of good kitchen design and collaborative working relationships with other professionals helped us select the products and finishes that would work best for us. She guided us through the process skilfully to help reduce uncertainty and keep our project on track and on budget. Our physical space was limited and Sue helped us think outside the box to make the most of it. Project is in progress, but will gladly post photos in a few weeks when complete.”

“Sharon has a great eye for style and is a wonderful designer. She is very knowledgeable and professional in her approach to all phases of the project. She was able to help me figure out what I wanted, how to make it special, turn it into plans and help it all come together. Also, she went the extra mile to make things work. We started with my kitchen which was small and fraying around the edges. She suggested how to reconfigure my space, and then designed a spectacular kitchen and worked smoothly with my contractors to help guide the project through completion. At the same time I was changing around some rooms in my house and asked her for decorating advice and for furniture arrangement and acquisition suggestions. Her taste is exquisite and her vision was very helpful in each space she touched. An example is that she added a reclaimed wood wall to my guest bedroom which turned it from ordinary into spectacular. She was great at giving me space to consider options, and to hold my hand when needed. I would use her again in a heartbeat and I wholeheartedly recommend her.”

“Highest Commendations for Tangerine Design. Jill creates functional, aesthetic & budget conscious designs to fit any need. We own apartments and use her ideas to attract higher end clients. Our meetings begin with a walk-through and ideas emerge from the ensuing conversation. Her architectural background results in "functional" layout recommendations that optimize space and flow. An Aesthetic "top-coat" follows--- keeping in mind the design style of the client, layout and budget. Jill can "Manage" or recommend contractors to bring the projects completion. This is an added bonus as many people don't have the time or knowledge to realize their conception. “Diablo Valley Cabinetry provided one of the best remodel experiences that we have had. Not only with the outcome the most beautiful product that we could have asked for, but the process was smooth as well. They were very involved with every detail and the owner actually came to our house on many occasions to oversee everything! I have never experienced that kind of service from another company. They are professional in every aspect of their dealings and they truly provide top of the line product. “We worked with HDR Remodeling twice in our Oakland condo: once in 2007 to convert a hall closet into a laundry closet. Most recently in May-June 2012 to remodel and repaint the whole condo after a major mold remediation. In 2007 we purchased a washer & dryer and needed a closet fixed up to accommodate them. We interviewed a few contractors, but were most impressed with Philip's experience and went with him. His pricing was not the lowest of the contractors we met, but not overly high either. And as with our most recent project, we feel we got quality work for our price. Each professional who came in for their piece of the job (plumber, carpenter, electrician, etc.) was courteous and all of them worked quickly and efficiently to complete the job on time. They could have used sturdier shelving, but it's held up okay these past 5 years. This spring we needed to remodel the condo in preparation for sale. After our move out of the condo last year, we had mold remediation throughout the condo so all our bamboo flooring was taken out, a foot or more of drywall was removed from many interior walls and our bedroom windows were stripped down to the studs. HDR replaced all the drywall, covered the window frames, painted the entire condo, put down new carpeting and replaced a broken sliding door screen. Since we were out of state, Philip did his initial walk-through while on the phone with me then sent photos regularly so we were completely updated each step of the way. The work was done in a timely and efficient manner with HDR sourcing all the materials and workers. Overall I recommend HDR for their excellent customer service, friendly and competent workers and long-time experience. Their prices are a bit high, but not unreasonable for the quality work we've seen.”
