“Jim Buhrer of Refined Renovations offers incredible vision, efficient execution, and an exquisite design sense and attention to detail that is truly beyond compare. After listening to us talk about the many possibilities for our addition, Jim provided us focus and a fabulous concept for our new master bedroom suite. He collaborated with us and an architect to ensure a solid plan, and in a few short months, Jim and his team built the addition over our garage that blends as if it has always been a part of the house. While the entire Refined Renovations team was professional and efficient, it was Jim’s creativity and wonderful design sense that enabled us to realize our dream of a casually sophisticated sanctuary that is simply elegant.”

“I recently purchased my first condo and my realtor recommended BPR for the renovations. Nick and his team were excellent to work with and took the time to explain the process and answer my questions. I was given a quote/timeline and explanation of all the work plus I got frequent updates on progress, issues/recommendations -- so there were never any surprises. The guys did an amazing job on my floors, crown molding and worked with me to design the built-ins for my living room. I will definitely work with them again when I start phase 2 of renovations!”

There were no hidden cost - once the price was agreed upon. Kevin was always available to listen and address any concerns. He took care of all of the details and permits. “After interviewing several contractors, we are so glad we hired Steve and his crew to completely rebuild and expand our 1950s kitchen in our 1920s fixer-upper. Steve was incredibly detail oriented, yet flexible and patient in working with and advising us as we designed most of the kitchen and small addition project ourselves. He did everything possible to be respectful of our budget, even as we ran into a few (to be expected in an older home) small surprises. His advice was invaluable, and responsiveness immediate. Moreover, he agreed to work with our plumber with whom we are friends and already felt very comfortable with working on our home. His other subcontractors, including work on tile, plastering, and electrical, were all as pleasant and reliable as Steve himself. Steve was omnipresent; always making sure the job got done right no matter what stage it was in. Steve always made sure to make any touch ups needed after the subcontractors finished their work. Steve and his crew were not only nice to have around, but created a safe and even fun atmosphere while we lived through this major renovation and necessary disruption in our home. With their diligent work, we went from a cramped, awkward, and outdated kitchen, to one we love and doubles as both functional and sorely needed social space that our modest home previously lacked. Steveworks turned our ideas into such a great kitchen that we promptly hired them to completely renovate our dated bathroom. Steve worked with us, our sometimes quirky house, and a very tight budget to give us a dramatically improved space. We highly recommend Steveworks to anyone who is considering hiring a contractor. “Anita gave us our dream kitchen! When we decided to remodel our 15 year old colonial with builder grade golden oak cabinets, we approached 3 different designers giving each the same list of wants. The other two designers provided basic designs that a big box store could have done as well. Anita went way outside the box and provided us with a magazine-ready, yet totally functional kitchen. All her subs were first class and our entire project was finished on time. We are now constructing a new home and are excited to have Anita again do our kitchen.”

“: Ryan Norman and Norman Builders were outstanding from start to finish. We come in contact with numerous builders, remodelers, and building professionals on a daily basis and can say without hesitation, Ryan and Norman Builders are in the top 1%. They initially provided a quote that included busting through into the existing master bedroom closet and adding that space to the bathroom and then rebuilding a closet in the master bedroom. Ryan helped us realize that there still wouldn’t be enough space to do what we wanted to, so we asked for a scaled back quote, which we promptly received. Ryan patiently responded to every inquiry and was right on top of things in terms of response time. We asked about the possibility of remodeling a second bathroom at the same time and Ryan was honest, to his detriment, in his response. Every aspect of the project that was within Ryan’s control was handled superbly. The workers picked up after themselves, laid new plastic sheeting to protect the existing carpet daily when called for, and showed up and completed work as scheduled. We ran into an issue with a vendor we had chosen and asked Ryan to handle resolution for us. He did so with professionalism and effectiveness. Everything in Ryan’s control was completed on schedule and without cost overruns. We will definitely call Ryan when we are ready for our next project.”
