“Mural by Clarissa Parish I have planned my new Orangery for 20 years, the base went down in 2007 and I knew exactly what I wanted but never thought about a mural until I understood that Clarissa had moved into the village. What she painted was beyond my wildest dreams. I said that I wanted a sub tropical forest along the whole of the back wall – she produced two or three designs, we agreed and she started to paint. It was as if she was doing it in a trance – there seemed to be no effort and what appeared happened very quickly and very beautifully. As we moved along, I made some suggestions – how about a gorilla, a kingfisher overlooking my fish tank – each time they were painted life size and in perfect detail. I think she is probably in Harry Potter as she is a magician! Everyone who comes to the Orangery marvels at the beauty of what she has created. Most certainly recommend her services. “Jill has helped me with varioius projects eg paint colour, creation of roller blind, garden advice. She combines creative thinking with practical, do-able solutions. She has a great eye for pattern and colour. She is relatable and easy to get on with. Anyone would enjoy working with her and would benefit from her experience. I used one of Jill's fabric designs for my kitchen roller bind. I had a great choice of design and am very pleased with the result- pictured. I am also showing a sample of her guinea fowl fabric which I am planning to have made up for my bathroom.”

“We asked Andy to paint a Nursery Rhyme mural in a Classroom in an old Victorian School Building. We gave him a brief outline of what we wanted in each area and the style of painting. Andy came to school to look at the classroom and discuss the project. He showed us some ideas and we set a date! It was planned for the half term break when there would be no children or staff in school. Everything went to plan and the finished result is fantastic. We can’t wait for the children to return to see the classroom. Hopefully we will be able to enlist Andy’s help to paint other areas of the school in the future.”

“Ruth painted very large portraits of both my children, as a surprise present for my husband. She took lots of photographs of them and then painted the portraits. We are absolutely delighted with them as they are so life-like and capture their characters too! We will keep them for the rest of our lives and remember that period of the children's lives! I have seen other portraits that Ruth has painted and they capture the person completely - both how they look and who they are.”
