Can you paint tumbled marble backsplash tile?

I just got new granite counters and the backsplash tile doesn't match. Can it be painted?

    Yes but it will look like crap. Remove the tile and replace it.

    Dear nandem11,

    You could paint over the existing tile however you will only know if you are getting the intended look after you try. I would suggest using an oil-based or urethane-based paint. By using a paint, (this type of paint will act as glue to and bond the paint directly to the tile).

    Please be sure to thoroughly clean the tile prior to starting. You don't want any dust or grease getting before you start painting.

    Very risky to try. Would probably not turn out the way you want. Save up and wait until you can replace
