Landing space

I have limited space in a kitchen remodel. Could you share how much landing space is on either side of the cooktop? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    hi-- I always follow the NKBA standards, which state 12" & 18" minimum for a cooktop and in this case we had 18" on each side of the 36" cooktop. I hope this helps, and good luck with your remodel... Win
