These are Cambridge Cast Stone in Bluestone Blend. Different from the Ledgestone pavers. Much larger and designed to look just like natural bluestone.

How much are they a square foot, roughly?

I priced recently at $7.23/sq ft. Would love to know if we could get for less somewhere. Green Island Design have you done any more of these? Wondering how dark/hot they are? Also what did you use on the border for this, by the grass?

They are concrete pavers so they do not absorb the heat. We have used them around many pools and you can absolutely walk on them with bare feet very comfortably. Most times we do not use any edging or border as the stones are quite large and are made to resemble bluestone. Check out our website for more project photos with the Cast Stone www.greenislanddesign.com

Green Island Design, what coping do you like to use with the bluestone blend

We would use natural bluestone for the coping. Fyi, we were told the Cast Stones are no longer being produced by Cambridge

Ok so what are your thoughts on Ledgestone xl to reproduce this look?

Yes the XL is the best alternative. They have a Bluestone Blend that looks great

What retaining wall stone would you use with bluestone blend xl pavers so as to break up the grey?

Take a look at Cambridge Ledgestone Veneer. Any of the color choices would go well with the bluestone

That's too bad Cambridge is no longer making the Cast Stone in Bluestone Blend. The Ledgestone XL in pictures just doesn't compare to your project above--that truly looks like Bluestone at a price point that was probably much less than the Techo-Bloc competing product.

With so many to choose from, your best bet is to visit a few good masonry yards in your area. In general, the staff are very knowledgable and helpful! They'll have the latest product samples, plus small displays of different materials laid out to help you define your preference.

    Good luck!
