Classic or contemporary fireplace?

I love the idea of a fireplace, however the practicality of a traditional one which requires clean up is slightly unappealing.

Do you prefer traditional fireplaces, or would you go for a modern, fire & ice style ethanol or gas powered one?

    Sophia, I apologize for not getting back to you. Unfortunately, we wouldn't be able to help much there. We specialize in the design and fabrication of the fireplace surround and hearth and not on the mechanical. Thanks
