Need new flooring in my master bedroom. Hardwood or carpet?

The living areas in my house are light maple. Need new flooring in my master bedroom which currently is carpeted and adjacent to the maple flooring, What would be a good choice of hardwood flooring (either hardwood or laminate). My house is a Frank Lloyd Wright modified style home.

    I would also match your existing Maple floor. Do not go with different would as it gets busy.

      Wood with area rugs. (Mr Wright had bright blue shag carpet in his bedroom at Tallesin, but I doubt that you want that!) I say wood with area rugs because they are easy to manage if someone gets sick on them. Cleaning carpet when someone is sick is problematic.

      I would continue the wood flooring to match.

      I really do not want to continue the maple flooring so maybe it is best to just stick with carpet. What is a popular carpet for bedrooms?

      I like something cushy under my feet for the bedroom. Makes it feel luxurious

      If you do not wish to go with hardwood I would go with a looped wool carpet for a clean look.

      Look for Unique Carpets website (http://www.uniquecarpetsltd.com/collections/tufted-wool) for some examples of wool carpets. Or the bigger manufactures such as Stainmaster carpet (https://www.stainmaster.com), and Shaw (https://shawfloors.com/flooring/carpet). They have a few lines that look like sisal/seagrass as well.
