Kitchen Island

Could you please tell me the size of the island. I have a very similar sized kitchen and always thought it was too narrow for an island.

    It's 24" wide... not sure off hand how long it is. But one side has 12" depth lower cabinets instead of the standard 24" ... that way, we could have bar seating on the side shown here. A microwave shelf is on the other end facing the stove.
