Carrara Marble Tiles
7 år sedanHi Jessica!
Floor tiles are Carrara Marble 18x18, hard to tell if it is honed or polished. Should be honed though, as polished tiles are not recommended on the floor since they might be slippery. Anyway, we have this product available in honed and polished as well.
Carrara square tiles can be a very nice decision for the floor. Simple enough, but beautiful and elegant.
We offer a rich selection of square format tiles in our Carrara collection, You can check it out right here.
Wall tiles are Carrara 3x6. As just an alternative to regular Carrara 3x6 I would consider 3x6 with wide bevel on it which gives the space more depth.
Below please see the one with wide bevel.
Don't forget about matching trim pieces which can be combined with all Carrara products.
Thank you!thebuilderdepot
7 år sedanÄndrades senast: 7 år sedanThe Floor Tile is rather Gray and probably selected that way to create some difference between the floor and the wall tile.
It is not too dissimilar from this customers idea, our Carrara Venato 3x6" for $7.00 a Square Foot is whiter than our "C" grade premium Bianco. You could go darker and buy a "CD" Grade for the floor or a Bardiglio. The opted for the Bianco Hexagon with a Bardiglio Border Honed but also available in polished for $12.95 a Square Foot. The Hexagon has more grout and creates more traction.
Here is another increasingly popular option the 4x12" Carrara Venato. Available from the Carrara Venato Collection which has a plethora of field tiles to choose from. A Venato Carrara wall of 3x6" Honed Subway Tile $7.00/SF and Hexagon $12.95/SF with Bardiglio Edge and Bardiglio 1x12" Border.Buying online does offer advantages but there are also considerations that should be taken onboard before diving in and ordering. 6 år sedanPolished vs. honed - which is easier to clean and care for over time? Is it more difficult to reseal a beveled tile?
thebuilderdepot
6 år sedanHi Jennifer Heylmun,
There is really no difference assuming a sealer is used. Once the sealer is on then and acidic spills are cleaned up quickly then you have no difference in real effort or time.
Beveled while yes slightly more awkward than simply running a sponge of sealer over flat tile is not going to require anymore drastically harder work.
Just get a good sealer like Bullet Proof from Dupont and you do not have to seal as often.
I hope that helps.
Thank you
