WIth no mantle, is the inset TV enough of a heat consideration?

Or is it the space between the firebox and the tv that is more important, or a combination of both?

    I'm not qualified to answer specifications on each fireplace but for this model we confirmed with the manufacturer the min distances from the top of the fireplace. Having it recessed definitely helps with keeping the heat from hitting the bottom of the tv. Check with your local fireplace experts.
