Where to hang curtains for kitchen slider door?

We recently replaced our builder-grade French doors in the kitchen and replaced with a glider. Where should I hang my curtains? The door shares the wall of the family room (2 story room) and the kitchen only has 9' ceiling. The curtains in the family room are at 96" Should I hang kitchen at 96" to to be aligned with family room or 84" above the frame of the door in the room.

Unless you need drapes for privacy, I wouldn't hang any on the door.

You don't have room for a center opening curtain. The right side is too tight, the curtain would cover the door handle. If you do still decide you must have drapes then go with the 96 inches.

Match curtain heights; operate/stack the door curtains left given there is no room to stack right. This means one large curtain.
