Backsplash material

What material is used for the backsplash behind the sink? I love the natural, simple look of this backsplash. I'm struggling to create a backsplash that doesn't steal the show from the rest of the kitchen.

    Hi Janessa! We love this simple, natural look too! This backsplash is an Italian plaster with a hand burnished finish.
