How do I find a designer?

I have sent emails and voice messages to 3 designers and none have replied. I thought I knew what colors I wanted but I am second guessing and I'm not good at color. We have a very open floor plan and am worried I will make a mess of everything. How do I find a good designer to help with a kitchen and living room?

    Claudia, I'm not sure what area you live in, but most Interior Decorators are very responsive. I would be patient and maybe ask your friends, local Ben Moore or Sherwin Williams retailer. The paint stores should definitely be able to point you in the right direction. Best of luck!

    Lindsey I have been waiting 2 weeks. I am in Las Vegas I will check at the Design Center and the paint stores.

    I can tell you that it is no way uncommon. I would suggest looking at interior designers who pay to advertise on Houzz in your area. If nothing else it is at least an indication that they are currently working and want to be seen.
