How were you able to slope the larger tile?

My contractor says we can only do a mosaic floor for our walk in shower to drain properly, but I want to use a larger tile.... can you tell me how you made this larger tile work to slope to the drain?

    We belittle the sub floor on a slope towards the linear drain against the wall. The drain was not on the middle of the shower stall

    The linear drain is a beautiful way to get the clean, modern look with the larger tiles. It works best if the drain is along one entire side of the shower and all the tiles subtly slope towards the drain.
