    16"x16" Indian Black Slate from builddirect.com. Note, there is a fair amount of variation in thickness (more than we thought), so it is not a smooth floor. Natural cleft finish on slate is inherently that way, which is a nice natural look but not for everyone. Also of note this product has a fair amount of variation in color/tone, which you can see in the photo, so it is important that your contractor open all the boxes and mix the colors so you don't get big areas that are all dark, etc.
