Adding an area rug would warm up the cold tiles nicely and make the room more inviting. If you plan to have a television in here, a wall mounted tv is a great option for a small space.

Do you need an office/computer area? A small computer desk, chair and shelves could fill the space in that awkward nook.

    Hi,

It is actually proven that mirrors make an illusion that the room is actually larger in comparison to reality. Let me know if you'd like that solution, we installed it for plenty customers that were in similar situation as you, 100% satisfaction ratio.

I think Carolina's pic of Notting Hill house is just what the space needs. Both pics have artworks. Have a look at my profile and see if you fancy anything there or from my website.

Mirrors do help with bouncing light around and they do give the illusion of more space, depending where you place them. You could place one on the left wall where I put the chair (perhaps a floor mirror, leaning against the wall) or on the short wall where I placed the table (near the window)

Could you show a picture of the window?

Carolina is right, it is actually proven that mirrors give the illusion of much more space. It is an ultimate, cheap solution if you consider your living room as small.

It would be the best to implement such a solution on the widest wall. Let me know the raw sizes, so I can figure out how much can it cost.

Ohhh boy! It looks for me as hallway.

I would put sectional in the corner and rug. Rug is all the way ,long enough to cover eyesore tile work.

    Will continue later with ideas.

Ok. I continue. You can use A/C DIY cover on winter. Put some console under it. get some lamps and side table.

As for other side I recommend you to look at IKEA wall unit. or shelving unit.

Ohhhhhhhh it is different. So you still can put sofa under the one window. And play around other one. You can put wall unit under the window and from right side.

Hi You 100% need a fitted carpet to take the cold feel away.

Its very hard to work with tiles in a living room to make it cozy.

I suspect OP's house is in a hot climate. So perhaps working with rugs on the tiled floors is a good option.
