    It was original to the house, pine, which is a very soft wood. It was a custom stain mix, so I don't have that info to share. I would not recommend pine, as it is a softer wood that does show marks and can ding up easily. It added character here and it was nice to have something remain in this over 100 year old home, but I wouldn't put it in new in a home.
