    We actually repurposed a garage door track and opener. At the push of a button the garage door opener pulls the rope to raise and lower the stair system.

    I don't have plans for it. We worked on some hand drawn sketches that we came up with on the fly. Its basically a ship's ladder that us hinged at the top.. I believe we used a heavy duty piano hinge to attach the top of the stairs to the landing.
