Is an ogee edge outdated? Cabinets are raised panel. Style is transitional.

I would do a bullnose edge, simple and works with all styles.

It's not outdated, but very formal looking. Is that the look you want go for it.

Eased is timeless, unpretentious, and goes with modern, transitional or classic/traditional designs.

Eased! You have to be careful with full bullnose near a sink. Water will follow the natural surface and depending on the overhang, that water can wrap around to the cabinets and damage the finish over time.

I suggest an eased edge. We typically do a mitre detail which allows use to make the counter appear 2" thick, which is a very nice detail.
