HOW CAN I CONVERT FREE STANDING WOOD STOVE TO IN WALL FIREPLACE ?

i love having a nice fire during the "freezing" california winter months ;) but this free standing wood stove leaves me with such limited furniture arrangement options, it's driving me crazy :( i would love to convert it to an in wall fireplace (if that's even possible??). any thoughts/ideas. HELP PLEASE !!

    Hi @The SofaWorks funny enough we have a case study on converting a retro fireplace to a clean-burning solution. You can achieve this by using our BK5 Bioethanol burner or our grate inserts depending on the size of the fireplace. Alternatively, if you want to do away with the retro design all together and create a built-in option you could consider our Fireplace Inserts which are fully self-contained so you won't need venting. Side note, you could also cut down the vent to be shorter should you choose to re-purpose your existing fireplace. Here are relevant links:

      would you remove the old piece and build the new one into the wall? or do i need a separate contractor?

      @The SofaWorks, Yes if you did an entirely new build-in solution you would remove the old fireplace. Those retro fireplaces are quite popular right now though! :-) If you email me at kim@ecosmartfire.com I can get you over to a product specialist if you'd like.

      don't get me wrong, i love the look of it !! but furniture placement is a nightmare :( i don't want the tv in front of the window anymore, and i would love to get a larger sectional (since i'm obviously at the source for custom sectionals ;). so unless somebody can come up with a better idea for the tv, i think i'll have to get rid of my cute popular stove :( any tv specialists out there with ideas? the tv has to be on that side of the room, because a spiral staircase to the right, a double door next to the leather chair, and the front entrance door behind the sectional, don't give me the option to place the sectional in a different direction.

      I think you should sell the stove and buy something that doesn't take up so much space. As an alternative, Is it possible that the room isn't really big enough for a sectional? Maybe it would be easier to change that than the wood burning stove.
