I took a two bedroom with dining room on the upper east side and converted the dining room into her son's room. We opened up the Kitchen and shrunk the second bedroom to give a large open feel with a home office hidden behind closet doors. The space feels so much larger. We were also able to enlarge the master bath into the bedroom giving them a double sink vanity.
I re-used the existing doors within the bedrooms to cut on costs.
