Before & After: the art of transformation
West Marin Modern - After Remodel: This is looking toward the same area as the before photo. We have pulled the Kitchen out of the corner and opened it up to the space and light. We have consolidated a door and window into one large sliding glass door, opening up the kitchen to the deck & valley views. The material pallet was cleaned up providing much needed visual relief. The new white wall finish and high gloss white cabinets now enhance the wood tone and texture of the existing beams. The center Island kitchen now acts as a two-sided work station, two sided gathering point and a small in-counter seating area. The wall of cabinets behind carries the dual refrigerators, ovens, pullout pantries and amble storage. An open shelved pantry is tucked just around the corner at the end of the cabinets, easily accessible but hidden from view. The over stuffed chair is now gone.
