Colonial Kitchen Charm – Beautiful Restored for Modern Day Living
This stunning 1900s Colonial home was sensitively restored by it’s homeowner to meet modern day family requirements resulting in the overall floorplan of the home adapting including the footprint of the kitchen. We provided careful consideration and collaboration with the homeowners to achieve a kitchen that not only meet the brief but overall allowed the smaller footprint to feel larger and more functional than before.
Character and light were an important part of the brief and this was achieved in the design by specifying the beautiful Villa Blue Dezignatek Rhonda Profile Doors along the L shaped walls of tall wall cabinetry and below the sink window. A modern island featuring flat panelled profile doors in a warm white completes the layout and maximise the length of the room to enable casual seating over the stunning sea views over the bay window.
A large induction hob was positioned on the island with a downdraft extractor to provide effective ducting when cooking at the island.
Modern storage solutions including compact 5 drawer pantry systems, soft close drawers, pull out bins and large drawers for pots and pans along with modern appliances future proof the home and marry seamlessly with the beautiful charm and character of this stunning home.
We have loved working with the gorgeous family on such a special project and are thrilled to know they love their new kitchen as much as we do!
