Gaines Residence
Designed by Eric Rawlings, AIA, LEED AP and built by Chad Curry & Trent Gains. This Prairie style house is designed for the rugged topography typical in Atlanta. Located in a neighborhood with Craftsman Bungalows from 1910-20, the design used elements and forms familiar to houses in the area and just arranged in a more modern way. The narrow site required a garage on the front of this house, which was disguised from view from the street by taking advantage of the natural terrain and saving the old growth tree.
