Interior Design with No Kids Allowed!
This is a traditional large detached house in south Oxfordshire. The owner of the home wanted to create a peaceful haven in an otherwise busy household. The interior design of the large master bedroom, which had a balcony overlooking the garden, was based on a piece of fabric that the client loved especially the colour.
We covered two old chairs that had been purchased in France with her chosen fabric in two different sizes of checks. The key to the design, which tied all the elements of the room together, was the fantastic wallpaper. It was a bold pattern and was therefore limited to two walls with the rest of the walls and furniture in a coordinating cream. The brown/gold accents in the curtains, headboard and wallpaper give depth and interest to the overall scheme.
The clients were delighted with their stylish tranquil bedroom where the kids were not allowed!
