John Street, Cottesloe House
This beach side house is located next to the popular John Street Café. Designed to simply 'fit in' to the relaxed atmosphere of John Street. The north facing frontage needed to provide controlled access to the sunlight and to allow sun penetration into the house. The frontage also needed to provide a veil of privacy fro the owners from the popular street frontage. The building has a 'soft' palette of materials including limestone and painted timber weatherboards.
