Open Spaces: Kitchen Remodel
The client came to Virginia Kitchens and Harry Braswell Inc. after a lng search to find someone who would work with the existing cabinetry and add some new elements to the design. A wall was removed between the kitchen and family room to create a bright open space. The cherry perimeter cabinetry was re-arranged and refinished, including new paneling at the refirgerator and the addition of crown and light rail. The new large island houses a cooktop with downdraft and base oven. The laundry room was re-arranged and some wasted space was brought into the kitchen to allow for a custom wine/microwave nock with extra deep cabinetry for storage. The new cabinetry is painted maple with a hand brushed glaze as a nod to the dark wood tones already within the space. New hardwood floors match the rest of the homes finish, updated lighting, granite countertops, glass subway backsplash, and polished nickel finishes combine to form a new open kitchen perfect for entertaining.
