Prefab at 8 - New Home
A difficult sloping irregular shaped site with a small stream, but with spectacular views of the Kapiti Coast. As Client, Developer and Architectural Practice this was an opportunity to develop some prefabrication ideas without client involvement. The architectural practice also wanted to have an emphasis on more sustainable construction practices.
The practice wanted to explore a smaller dwelling using a cost effective approach to create space. The modest 94sqm dwelling includes two bedrooms, study, separate laundry and bathroom with open plan living, kitchen and dining opening to terraced decking and river rock wall.
