Rain Garden - Hollywood
In this front yard in the Hollywood district three downspouts were diverted into two bio-swales or rain gardens. The homeowner was having issues with rain water pooling up against the side of the house. The site was graded to allow for proper drainage and re-landscaped using mostly native plants. Two distinct rain garden features were installed to blend into the naturalistic style of the design. Stormwater from the roof is now put back into the water table.
