15 all 3 This room uses the effect of making the room look larger by using small decor, light wall colors, along with bright windows that create a open effect in the room. It also uses a cement texture on the ground which makes a more modern feel. This room also uses horizontal lines to create more width/length in the room with the bookshelves.

14 horizontal and vertical lines This room represents horizontal and vertical lines. In this room the horizontal lines stick out quite a bit and bring a length effect to the room. The vertical lines are slightly hidden in the background and don't stick out as much as the horizontal line effect.

13 positive/negative This room shows positive and negative space. It does this by using dark colors but also bringing bright light into the room, if you look closely it also has a contrast between the dark walls and light carpet color. This room also uses a white trim to create balance in the colors. This brings out an illusion of perfect balance.

12 texture that gives cool feeling This room represents cool texture. The shower uses a smooth marble texture. The illusion this brings out is a more modern and smooth feeling to the room.

11 texture that gives warm feeling This room represents a texture that gives a warm feeling. This is a brick texture which is quite rough and gives the room a cozy feel. The illusion this room gives is that the bricks and warm texture makes the room more cozy and also darker/dimmed.

10 heavy apparent weight This room represents heavy apparent weight. This room uses dark colors and dark tones to give the room a more cozy feel. The illusion that this room is giving off is a more cozy and comfortable feel rather than a larger and softer feel. They also used dimmed lights and several other things to bring out the “heavy” feeling.

9light apparent weight This room represents light apparent weight. This room uses light colors and soft textures throughout the room to calm and satisfy the mind. It brings the illusion that the room is larger and also more calming.

8 curved lines This room uses an arched ceiling and this shows the curved line design. The curved ceiling makes the room look softer and overall more pleasing. It creates a cozy and soft addition to the household

Foto

7zigzag lines This room represents zigzag lines because it uses a zigzag line design on the wall. This creates a sense of transformation but also a bold yet cool touch to the room. The zigzags also give the room and design more depth by adding something to a blank spot.

6diagonal lines The designer used a diagonal line design on a wall behind a table, this represents the diagonal line design for multiple reasons. It shows a transformation not only in the height of the wall but also in the colors. It creates an illusion of movement and transformation as the colors change with the change in the diagonal line.

5 vertical lines This photo represents vertical lines. By using vertical boards it creates an illusion of adding a very nice touch of height to the staircase wall. The boards going up creates this feeling of the staircase being almost taller than it actually is, I believe this photo did quite a good job at representing this.

Q

Foto

4 horizontal lines This picture represents horizontal lines. As you can see the designer made a double sink countertop. In this countertop the drawers all have a horizontal effect/look. By using this effect the designer made the room appear significantly wider.

Q

Foto

3 room divided In this picture the designer used a large bookshelf to divide the room. By doing this it creates an effect that makes the dining room and living room look separate contrary to being in the same room.

2 Large space meant to look smaller: As you can see this room is quite large but not at first glance. Due to the dim lightning, lack of windows and use of dark/cozy colors this room appears to be much more cozy. They also use large paintings and place decor in corners to fill space.

Q

Foto

1 Small Space meant to look larger In this picture the room has bright windows and uses bright colors to make the room appear to be larger. Everything in this room is quite packed together but by using these light colors and large windows and bright colored furniture it creates an illusion of a much larger space.
