shelving on side of full height cupboard, beside window, for pretty jars, bath stuff, towels and Mouse bowls, and towel rack below even if can't have bath suggest doing this layout anyway, as get half height cupboards, a protective boundary before stairs, and a dressing area space with chest of drawers. low wide laundry baskets in the eaves, and armchair/chaise/padded bench against the nub wall. and the shelving on side of cupboard can have personal trinkets, grooming items, etc. plus can put two nice lamps (wine bottles or the wooden ones) on the nub walls as they'll be quite deep. Nice extra lighting when needed

see again from this side, clever zoning Inc floor material change, to add a bath upstairs but still have sense of separation. also might work nicely with the staircase, giving a little impression of privacy before bedroom. put bath against nub wall, and a chest of drawers under window (doubling as vanity) and hanging cupboard by staircase, completing impression of separate bathroom. antique pine chest of drawers would work well with cream and ochre palette. Good use of essentially dead space if can send soil pipe outside by window. add half height hanging cuoboard on bed side of the nub wall. also tbc if one nub wall or two. makes sense on bath side with cupboard and shelving, but might look odd on other side of room... have doors for nub wall open on stair side not bed side, and hang a pair of pictures on the bed side - poss Japanese prints or the hunting prints, or something new and quirky. nb hang the wooden booze mirror above the radiator in hallway
double flooring and transition in flooring, and way the colours almost perfect match so is less intrusive
