How do they do this installation? Do we choose a color and then put glass over the top? Maybe consider this and use the color of the new cabinets????

Q

Foto

How about that one that had some blue in it??? I think they were 1x2. I wonder if they were warm enough to carry the look?

Q

Foto

Stacked like boxes, picks up the cabinets and the counter top. More transitional

Q

Foto

Nice color...

Q

Foto

This was the look...no more...

Q

Foto

What is this treatment with the solid color and glass...might not work because of the reflection...see other examples

Q

Foto

Maybe a tile that goes with the new cabinet color and still gives a nod to the granite counter top? I like this...It's thoughtful.

Q

Foto

Yucko...be careful! The colors are not harmonious.

Q

Foto

More transitional with dark wood...1x1 tiles, solid counter top...what else?

Q

Foto

Transitional with cherry cabinets...what are the elements? Solid grey counter tops, long, linear stone back splash...How could we achieve the same feel?

Q

Foto

How would this play with the granite? This is a warm tile combo, that has some pattern, but not too much. What do you think about this look?

Q

Foto

Bubbles! Might this be available in a lighter color way...cream, grey, and ivory?

Q

Foto

And again...how can we make this more transitional?

Q

Foto

The look with dark back splash and lighter counter top. I think this would be too dark for my space.

Q

Foto

Stacked like bricks. Would this installation provide an updated look? Can we find the right color way?

Q

Foto

Large arabesque tile. Traditional.

Q

Foto

NO Too much disparity between the granite and the back splash. (warm and cool?)

Q

Foto

Egadz. Ugly!

Q

Foto

I like the size of these tiles as well as the color with the hood and the counter tops...will they go with the new cabinets? They seem to eliminate one element.

Q

Foto

Interesting. Very organic...but probably not the look that I am looking for.

Q

Foto

Like the shape of these tiles...if we could find the right color way it could be fun!

Q

Foto

Love this! But THIS IS NOT MY KITCHEN

Q

Foto

How would this work??? Too rustic? Or would it provide enough of a punch?

Q

Foto

I hate this! Too traditional!

Q

Foto

What would this grey tile do in the space? Too dark?

Q

Foto

I like the size of this tile. Don't particularly care for the little detail dot tiles.

Q

Foto

This is a more transitional look. If we could fine a color way which would be simpatico with the granite and the cabinets it might work.

Q

Foto

Single color...however shinny. This would be too dark for the cherry cabinets

Q

Foto

Disaster...shinny, too busy.

Q

Foto

Wonder if tile was to match the color of the new cabinets? It coordinates with the granite, but the tile seems to be more consistent with the color of the cabinets. I like this look.

Q

Foto

Another look...no detail in the tile...plain would be better. I think this is my granite...I don't really find this beautiful.

Q

Foto

This is boring. But something that I might feel is safe. Can we do better than this? Different sized tiles and patterns would help it think.

Q

Foto

Back Splash disappears and becomes one with the granite. I like it without the focal point over the cook top.

Q

Foto

Not certain this works either. Or maybe it's just too traditional for me.

Q

Foto

This didn't work. Same as previous kitchen picture.

Q

Foto

This didn't come together. I can see where they were trying to go, but it doesn't work for me.

Q

Foto

Counter tops and tile more the same color...not particularly pretty though...ho hum traditional.

Q

Foto

Tile and counter tops are too different-this would be a mistake in my opinion.

Q

Foto

I like the size of this tile-same kitchen as previous one. I like the look.

Q

Foto

Love this look...the size of the tiles...I believe it makes it more transitional...Could we find a neutral to work? It needs to be a bit warm...but I don't want gold.

Q

Foto

Does it have to look like this? Argh, I don't like this!

Q

Foto

I like this tile...would silver work with the granite? Or is it too cool with what is currently in the kitchen...granite, cherry, etc.

Q

Foto

This is also a very cool kitchen. I love the colors. I believe we have a wining color for the new cabinets...metallic...not too gold, but warm. How can we pull it all together? This is cooler than the colors I have...but, can we pull it together with the warmer palate that I have?

Q

Foto

I love this kitchen...not that the one I have would ever look like this.

Q

Foto

Here again is the same kitchen. No need for the decorative piece at the top of the countertop...tile all the way.

Q

Foto

Here is another picture of a kitchen that I like. The tile makes the granite and backslash work as one element. Note the difference in color cabinets

Q

Foto

Don't want zebra!

Q

Foto

Interesting how this tile comes together with the granite and the cabinets...might be too linear considering the wall paper...also it would have to be in a mat finish.

Q

Foto

NO. Perhaps it's too flat...too many striations? I'm not a fan.

Q

Foto

How would this tile work with cabinets and granite? It's transitional/edgy and the way it is installed is also more transitional. Could we find a color way that would work with the new cabinets and the granite?

Q

Foto

I don't want this. Sometimes it's helpful to figure out what you don't want before you can figure out what you do want.

Q

Foto

A possibility of the outcome...pretty ordinary and traditional...I'd like to see if we can come up with an alternative that will take it up a notch both design and transitionally.

Q

Foto

Mat finish, singular color? I think it would be too dark with the light constraints in my space.

Q

Foto

Too much gold. I don't want this!

Q

Foto

This is a pretty tile. I like the shape and the color way...if we could find a color way that mimicked the granite and was simpatico with both the cabinets it would be a safe way to go.

Q

Foto

Note cooktop fan...proudly presented in the space! Looks very pretty against the tile.

Q

Foto

Nightmare! Golden colors and too dark.

Q

Foto

Nightmare! Too many disjointed elements. What is the focal point? Who cares...it makes me crazy!

Q

Foto

Note balance between different color cabinets, etc. Back splash and granite are similar (but note, so are the lighter cabinets...perhaps we need to have the tile work with the granite and new cabinets????)

Q

Foto

How do I enact this look? Dark cabinets, some lighter cabinets, granite counter top, back splash...I like this look.

Q

Foto

Same balance of colors. This is a way to approach the design...work to have the tiles relate/mimic the granite

Q

Foto

Lots of the same elements. How is this all pulled together? Still it looks a bit traditional.

Q

Foto

Subway tiles that were chosen but no longer available. A transitional look. Chrome details. How can this be pulled off?

Q

Foto

Same color way...no back splash, doesn't look finished. This is a mess!

Q

Foto

Back splash and counters take on the same look, I like that...it cleans up the look.

Q

Foto

How's this look, without the 'highlight' tiles? Looks a little transitional.

Q

Foto

OMG, am I destined to this look? Too traditional!

Q

Foto

NOOOOOOOO!

Q

Foto

Dark cabinets and light cabinets with subway tile to coordinate with the granite, this is appealing. Tile blends with both the cabinets and the granite.

Q

Foto

Nice look with the granite
