“I hired Dan Tatham Design Associates to do a number of small project, both inside and outside my new home. I am very pleased with the results: I have a beautiful new kitchen sink/faucet with surround tile designed and installed smoothly and quickly; on the main floor a wall was designed and built to incorporate a treasured, large stained glass window, enclosing the ground floor of the house both for privacy as well as heat efficiency. The design for this wall enhances and compliments the original design work that was already in place. A laundry room was reconfigured to maximize space and create additional storage. Landscape design work has designated future patio construction, and the re-design of 2 woodsheds has maximized storage and access to winter firewood. Not only was the work done quickly and within budget, it was easy to collaborate and communicate my ideas. Tatham Designs listened to my requirements and then helped me arrive at a final design and budget. In every case, the finished projects exceeded my expectations.”

“Susanne Doise has worked for us as a designer and project manager, introducing contemporary ideas and good space solutions always with her touch of European flavor . We enlarged and modified the interior and exterior of the second floor of a 50 year old house into an open space concept mostly in the dining, sitting and kitchen area as well as the Master Bedroom quarters. Overall good work, within budget and complete understanding of our needs and lifestyle.”

He listened to our brief and incorporated everything into the overall design. He had some fantastic ideas and was able create our dream home. He took the time to talk us through every step of the process and made sure we understood each phase. We always knew what to expect and it was so easy to communicate and work together to achieve the results we were hoping for. “We contacted Barbara after buying our home on Bowen Island in March, 2014. We saw the house, fell in love with it, and then flew back to Toronto where my husband and I were both still working. We knew what parts of the house we wanted changed and we wanted it done before we moved in August. Working with Barbara long distance was an incredible experience. All we had to go on was the memory of our 40 minute tour and the realtor's MLS video of the house. Barbara totally redesigned and rebuilt the master bedroom, ensuite bathroom, powder room, laundry room, and his and her closets. She also managed the replacement of the floors and lighting in the existing house, and found creative and practical solutions to a number of technical issues that emerged during the renovation. In short, she became our contractor, designer, and friend over the 6 months it took to complete this project. Barbara's experience and relationships with local trades people made this rebuild happen flawlessly and beautifully. It was a creative process for us and a wonderful introduction to the Island. We would unhesitatingly recommend Barbara as a gifted designer who will watch over every detail of your project and work tirelessly to make the end result everything you want.”
