“I worked with Chad, the owner, on the redesign of my 1,000 square feet home, which includes a master bathroom addition and a new roof structure. Chad is easy to work with and his past experience as general contractor is very valuable when designing while paying attention to the overall building budget. He is a Green Building Professional and is on top of new products on the market. What I liked most is that he is very open minded about materials that he hasn't worked with and he did quite some research to give me professional advise. Chad does plan heated floors, which was the selling point for me when I was looking for a designer. Getting to know him over the course of the design project confirmed that he is a true expert in various areas. If I get stuck during construction and need independent advice, it is a peace of mind that I can always call Chad and get his opinion.”

“I highly recommend CP Construction. They re-did our backyard which included a huge retaining wall with drainage. They did an amazing job making it look wonderful with special touches here and there. I can not get over though how well it drained during the recent winter storms. Everywhere around us was flooding but my kids could run right out into the backyard the minute the rain stopped because the water had all drained off properly. They are great guys and great communicators.”

“Manny Lopez and his team of professionals completed a full remodel of the landscaping projects we desired around our home last year. All of the work was top quality and done to our satisfaction. He coordinated his team's work with other contractors installing solar, and a large swim spa, as well as a complex deck. There were no disagreements with other workmen on the projects, and the advance planning allowed for the use of heavy machinery where needed, concrete deliveries, and other materials for all the other projects. Regarding ideas we had for the way we wanted the final project to look, Manny provided timely ideas, excellent solutions that were cost effective or even saved money, and he always came in on time. He kept us appraised of the project progress, items that need to be adjusted, and included changes we asked for as the project went along. He came in on budget. My wife and I have built homes before, renovated apartment properties, improved commercial and condo projects, so we have worked with many contractors over the years. Manny is the best.”

“Darek Janczy of DJ Construction recently completed a comprehensive remodel of my 2,433 sqft house in Pacific Grove. The project included replacing all windows, flooring, and doors; removing 1970’s “popcorn” ceilings; installing overhead LED lighting in all rooms; expanding the outdoor deck; knocking down old walls and building new ones; reconfiguring the front entry; replacing all fixtures; repainting the exterior and interior; strengthening the foundation; and creating a stunning new open kitchen with a 10-foot island. “My wife and I reside in La Selva Beach and decided to major remodel our master bathroom from mundane to elegant. As an owner builder, I had built 3 homes in the Santa Cruz area on my own, however at this time in our lives, we wanted someone else to do the job correctly. I have two brother in laws who are retired general contractors and they were not keen on going back to work for us. We were fortunate to have had Robert Silva introduced to us, and he made magic happen. With our input, he showed us many designs, hardware, fixture, and tile options and took our wishes to design the new bathroom for us. Robert gave us a very strait forward estimate of the costs for demolition, framing, sheetrock, tile work, plumbing, glass, painting, and all material costs. We stayed within budget without any difficulties. One of the things that impressed us was that Robert was on the job swinging his own hammer for much of the project and all of his subcontractors were skilled professionals. The worksite was cleaned up everyday after they completed their day’s labor and we were able to use our bathroom facilities throughout the entire project (except when they were actively working on it). Of course we did solicit competitive bids from other reputable Santa Cruz contractors, however Robert’s numbers clearly won the bidding. We were extremely pleased with his honesty, work ethic and of course the finished product that gave us our beautiful new bathroom. Without question we feel it appropriate to give ProBuilt Constuction 5 stars.”

“I have been "flipping" houses successfully for 15 years and Eric Lamascus (Owner) of Elite Construction is by far the best contractor I have worked with. He does what most other contractors fail to do: Show up when he says he will, stay within a budget and finish the job on time. All of these are very important to me, as remodeling homes is my business and my livelihood. My first project with Eric was in 2007. The 1200 SF house was a real "fixer'. Today it is a beautiful contemporary 2000 SF home with a 1000 SF ocean view deck. Everything was redone and the house doubled in value in just a few months. The kitchen and bathrooms were standouts (pictures above).

I personally worked on the job site with the Elite crew everyday. They were always on time, knowledgeable, hard working and polite. Eric had an excellent understanding of the job and what my goals were, and translated that to the crew. His ability to problem solve is outstanding. He also had great sub-contractors that did all the electrical, plumbing, HVAC, cabinets, roof and drywall under his supervision. 

 Since the first project, I've continued to work with Elite on several more projects, including work on my own residence in Santa Cruz.
