Photos of the rest of the room would help us comment. How wide are the doorways? I ask because I wonder if the doorway would be too crowded if you were to add book cases next to the tv stand.
If you want the TV to stand out less, consider painting just this wall a darker color. It needn't be as dark as the furniture, but maybe half-way in darkness between what it is now and the furniture.
Kinda got a pyramid thing going on there! Like the black wall Deco but not to crazy for the pink flowers in the white vases:( !! Anyway, I would loose the clock to start with and try to add a couple shelves up top to square things up. A darker color would help too.
Well my recommendations come from the audio/video perspective, so take them with a grain of salt. 1. Lose the clock 2. Mount the TV on the wall ~18" higher (likely includes the need for an electrician to install an outlet behind the TV, and someone to fish the low-voltage inside the wall) 3. Consider, at the least, a Sonos PLAYBAR mounted within a Leon Speakers ToneCase enclosure for decent audio. 4. My personal preference would be to place a set of great floor standing speakers to the right & left with a turntable on the furniture and go buy your favorite album on vinyl and share your memories of the first time you heard the album with a friend! 5. Assuming you'll disregard #4 and possibly #3 too, simply getting the TV up off the furniture allows you to place something for decorations on the furniture. Then begin to look at the space on the wall to the left & right of the TV to see if something artistic would work. They would have to be small in order to not look too cluttered. 6. One thing I really like seeing more and more of is unique materials placed on the wall. If you look at the above recommended photo you'll see the great texture that is created from the material around the TV. It really gives the TV a finished look and well intended in the room. Even just framing out around the TV a boxed in frame looks great (although I wouldn't do this on your wall for both the small width of the wall and the furniture is large enough to create depth).
