Catherine Best Mill
Catherine Best is the Channel Islands' most prominent and creative jeweller. Catherine and her partner Paul operate their business from a fantastic and highly unusual old Mill situated in the parish of St Martins. They live above the ground floor business and contacted Bonsai to provide a flooring and sliding/folding door solution for their first floor living area. The clients chose a wideplank oak floor from our 'Sensu' range which was hand-finished on site using a specialised, signature Bonsai process: the 3-coat 'Old English' antique hand-applied finish.
Also selected was a set of Sunfold custom bi-fold doors in a RAL colour selected by the client, for the curved access to the balcony.

Sensu 20x240mm engineered oak flooring with 'Old English' 3-coat hard wax oil finish
The floor was fitted in a circumferential format and was hand-scribed to the rough granite walls
Sunfold bespoke aluminium bi-fold door system with client's RAL colour choice, situated in a curved opening
