This large living room was transformed into a comfortable living space. The fireplace wall was all red brick, no fire surround and with a hole in the wall for the TV and below a hole to feed the wood through.
I designed a fire surround and mantel and also the wood panelling. Moving the TV into one of the existing cherry cabinets that served as just storage, the other doors next to this open to a full bar. I changed the wood burning fire to a gas log set, this was a challenge finding logs as the opening is 48-inches. The walls were sprayed and draperies chosen. The chairs you see were a find in a local vintage store, after re-upholstering they look as though they should have always been there. The chandelier was also a vintage find and was hung over a separate conversation area.
