Ruyteplaats Project
The lounge area at our Ruyteplaats project has the most sublime views of Hout Bay and the ocean in the distance below it.
These vistas beyond the living area never gets old and Cheryl wanted to add character and warmth to this space without detracting from the sweeping views ahead.
A gorgeously textured, neutral toned fabric was used to re-upholster our client’s existing, oversized sectional sofa which has ample seating for family and friends to gather.
Custom made scatter cushions in subtly patterned fabrics in deep blues and tans with contrast piping detail adds more texture and layers to the couch.
A bespoke, oversized solid Oak coffee table sits proudly in the centre of this space, which holds exquisite objet, candle holders, vases and our client’s coffee table books.
It is very important to get the size of the coffee table just right.
Often times we see an area with a coffee table that is too small and it just doesn’t work.
This is why we design all our own furniture and have it custom made, so that we can make sure that each piece of furniture fits perfectly into the space and is 100% the correct size, style and design.
Balance, proportion and scale must always be taken into consideration when designing any area/room.
We love how this lounge turned out and it’s so inviting and comfortable, the perfect place to while away the hours and enjoy the sweeping views.
