kristen: Laura and i reviewed the office once again on site and think it’s safer to go to the more classic look. We think this might be the safer option compared to the asymmetric cabinets in the more modern home included in this idea book. This setup with paneling, flanking shelves (we would need to go a little narrower) and the central opening for an art piece with spotlighting installed above storage cabinetry works well - classic yet modern. This is not our color but other than that we think it will create an elegant room. We would probably gravitate to a darker green, a blue or even verging on eggplant, or a grey with wood veining. We would create a similar setup on the wall to the left of the office door with very skinny shelves flanking the bay for the adjustable standing desk.
